About

My name is Tayson DeLengocky. I am double-fellowship trained in vitreo-retinal surgery and neuro-ophthalmology, currently licensed to practice vitreo-retinal surgery in IL and TX. Being an osteopathic physician, I take a holistic approach in treating eye diseases. I believe that the vast majority of blindness is treatable and preventable. I place emphasis on cardiovascular exercises, smoking cessation, healthy diet, and nutritional supplement.

I would like to provide a forum for discussion of wide range of issues related to medical/osteopathic medicine, health, eye and alternative medicine.

I was born in Vietnam ravaged by war and raised in a communist regime. My family obtained political asylum in France in 1983, where I experienced the socialized capitalism.

In 1990, I immigrated to the U.S.A. and Texas has been home to me ever since as I lived and worked in Houston, Austin, College Station, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Aransas Pass, Beeville, McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, Rio Grande Valley, and Eagle Pass. I still maintain legal residence and medical license to practice in Texas, also I am a registered voter in Dallas County.

I did my internship and fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Michigan State University-COM; I completed residency in ophthalmology in Brooklyn, NY. and vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship at South Texas Retina Consultants in Corpus Christi, TX.

Having lived and travelled across the U.S.A., I have come to appreciate the “ American Exceptionalism.” Therefore, I hope this forum will provide exchange of ideas on societal and international issues.
